Openness to others, to innovation and to the world is one of the five core values of the school. This quality is acquired by new and different experiences. International experience provides the perfect setting to embrace this value and to develop people skills and relational leadership skills, two key skills of EIGSI engineers.
International experience for all EIGSI students
International experience is a key factor in EIGSI’s educational philosophy, and the students must spend at least 17 weeks abroad in order to graduate. They can spend a semester studying in one of our 80+ partner institutions worldwide, or do an internship.
The credits earned abroad are recognized by the ECTS system and included in the transcript as well as the Diploma Supplement.
Command of 2 or 3 languages
At EIGSI, learning two foreign languages is mandatory. A third foreign language is optional but encouraged. English is the required first foreign language, and engineering students can choose between German, Spanish, Portuguese, Italian, Chinese or Japanese for the second foreign language. Finally, the options for the third language are Chinese, Arabic, Portuguese, Japanese, Spanish, German, Italian.
A certified command of English with C1 as the target and B2 as the minimum level on the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFRL) is one of the conditions for obtaining the EIGSI Engineering degree.
